Richard Wender

I Chair the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health in the Medical School and serve as Executive Director of the Penn Center for Public Health – formally called the Center for Public Health Initiatives. Our Department has been leading community vaccination efforts. I have personally been very involved in cancer screening – having formally served as Chief Cancer Control Officer at the American Cancer Society. I have broad interest in partnerships to address a variety of health issues. We prioritize improving health over generating papers.
