Tavis Sanders

My work focuses on Indigenous education and emerging research that examines the misclassification and underrepresentation of Indigenous peoples of the east coast in data systems. I am currently participating in a cohort dedicated to developing community academic partnerships and strengthening research capacity grounded in Indigenous knowledge. I am seeking academic partners interested in reciprocal learning, ethical and accountable research practices, and the co-development of research that is meaningful and useful to Indigenous communities.
