Gregory Allen

My life’s work involves seeking ways to help Black and Brown urban communities and families to maintain, grow and thrive. I have been doing this work for over 30 years in communities and neighborhoods throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. I am interested in community/academic partnerships and working with someone to address the issues related to the factors that stabilize or threaten to destabilize Black and Brown families and communities. As a partner, you can expect me and my organization to be active participants in the research, lead community involvement and help designate the results to the media and funders. Overbrook West Neighbors is a community development corporation that serves the Overbrook neighborhood of West Philadelphia. We are a group of concerned and committed neighbors who seek to maintain and improve the quality of life for our neighbors and community. We seek partnership that will help us to accomplish our goal.
