I currently direct the Responsive Math Teaching Project, a NSF-funded research practice partnership with a network of public K-8 schools in West Philadelphia. The main goal of our project is to build sustainable and networked math instructional leadership across the schools to improve mathematics teaching and learning. Our work centers around a model of mathematics instruction that is humanizing and inclusive, prioritizing sensemaking and collaboration. We are interested in expanding this work to support family engagement in mathematics outside of school, in the home and in the community.
