Andrea Blount

My work involves patient education.  I have been a RN for more than 40 years I am interested in community-academic partnerships to address the issue of health literacy. I have worked in community engagement for more than 20 years.  First in the area of injury prevention, now as a health, wellness and health literacy specialist.  The ideal partner for me and my organization would be community/academic partner. As a partner, you can expect me and my organization to promote health and wellness in congregations through Lay Health Educators. Enhance, support, and provide educational programs and resources to promote a healthy and holistic lifestyle in the church and the broader community.
